When the Snapchat update [1] hit smartphones this Wednesday and the world realized the app's Best Friends feature was missing, sh*t went down. Girlfriends around the globe could be heard crying, and we, like so many others, were not immune to this horrible tragedy. Shock
We know. We're just as shocked as you are.
Denial
This can't actually be happening, right? RIGHT?!
Anger
OK, this isn't funny anymore.
Bargaining
Please bring Best Friends back — we promise we'll only check it once a day from now on!
Guilt
We're sorry — was it something we did?
Depression
Don't mind us. We're just going to sit here and wallow in our tears.
Acceptance
All right, all right. We give up. Snapchat's Best Friends is never coming back and we're OK with it.
Then, Snapchat's CEO, Evan Spiegel, tweeted that.
Wow, Snapchat, you really had us there for a moment. Of course you're going to bring back the Best Friends feature. That's basically the only reason why we have Snapchat . . .
Let's all just take a minute to compose ourselves.
