Geeky proposals [1] aren't new by any means — but one man took it to the next level by creating a special level in Super Mario Bros. Maker for his girlfriend to play.

In a video [2] uploaded to YouTube, Shane Birkinbine [3] films his girlfriend, Pam Edwards, playing a level of the popular game. First, she sees her name spelled out in bricks. As she keeps playing and approaches more bricks, Birkinbine asks her, "What does it say?" As you can guess, it's Birkinbine asking her to marry him! She says yes and finishes playing the game.

The love doesn't end there. Birkinbine posted a photo to his Facebook page showing how he presented the ring to her: on top of Toad, a character from Super Mario Bros.
