The Week in Geek: iPad Rumors, Tablet Teases, and YouTube's Awesome Year!

First off, happy holidays! This week we wrapped up our 2010 holiday gift guides, and will be looking forward to more Best of 2010 coverage as we close out the year. What else did we talk about this week? Find out below!

  • Big news of the week goes to the iPad 2, which is said to be smaller, flatter, and louder than its predecessor.
  • Not to stand in anyone's shadow, though, is the upcoming Motorola tablet, which may be running Android's Honeycomb 3.0 software. Look for it to be unveiled at CES next month.
  • Amazon's Kindle 3 WiFi edition sold out for a brief time this week, scaring the pants off anyone who was still planning to get one as a holiday gift. Thankfully, it was back on the shelves shortly after and ready to arrive by Christmas Eve.
  • Speaking of Kindles, if you've had problems with yours shutting down and rebooting sporadically, your case could be the culprit.
  • YouTube announced that it was gifting its entire army of 15,000 partners $1,000 each to upgrade their camera equipment for better video quality.
  • Despite some launch issues, Google released a Google TV update, along with a Google TV remote app for Android devices.
  • Nielson tracked the top 10 best-selling phones of 2010 in a recent report — was your handset on the list?
