Totally Geeky or Geek Chic? Knit Wrist Pillow

We all know that Carpal Tunnel and wrist pain from too much web surfing is a problem the internet addicted masses will face at one time or another. How do we remedy it? Crafter Jennifer Tallapaneni has attempted to resolve the chance of her ever getting Carpal Tunnnel, which she worries would impede her knitting, by creating a soft organic cotton wrist pillow. I appreciate the little pillow as a quality geeky craft piece, but is it geek chic?

I need something for my wrists! How perfect.

I hear what you are saying bugness, but in my book, both "geek chic" and "totally geeky" are high praise. They just mean different things. Does that make sense?

I'm sorry, but I don't think hand-made items like this should be under question for "geek chic" or "totally geeky." Jennifer didn't make it to be cute. She made it for herself and offered the pattern to others who might want to make their own. It's not like she's trying to sell it, so why should it be brought under the judgement of people here? I would be really freaked out and uncomfortable if one of my handmade items from my blog was posted here unless I bookmarked it myself.

there is so nothing wrong with something like this! I wish I had one!! Maybe not a knit one, but still...something that will keep my wrist comfortable b/c I am in front of a computer all day long and at the end of the day I'm like "ugh."

maybe kinda ordinary looking for a real geekchic, but I think it'd be useful :)

i like it. nice and simple. better than those black gel things for wrist-rests! organic cotton and hand made are added bonuses as well. :)

If it works, go ahead. Not chic at all, though. Maybe with other colours, materials or with beads.

Ugly, yet comfy.

TopazGirl ... it may not PREVENT carpal tunnel ... but they sure ease my pain! (I've had CT for years now.) Now, I have a soft, squishy one ... no knit cover for it, thank you. I would imagine that would slide around and be annoying as heck.

Um, and I thought people who whined about breaking a nail were sissies... I mean come on! It's not like it prevents Carpal Tunnel, it just looks down right ridiculous.

It's cute, hand-made, and with most optical mice today, if you have the write desk for it you don't really need a mouse pad. just a wrist supporter.

Sorry, but it doesn't seem useful. Aren't there items like that out there already?

Looks rather cute, and it is useful. I think it'd be more special if each person did it themselves! =)

Really looks like nothing special, but I guess it could be a nice thing to have.
