Website of the Day: 3191.visualblogging

Last year around this time I pointed out 3191.visualblogging, a project started by two friends, Stephanie and Mav, that live 3,191 miles apart. Every morning for the past year they each took a picture of themselves, their houses, or some element of their morning and posted them side-by-side so they could feel connected to one another. This month their beautiful year is over and they are left with a breathtaking archive of images that are worth a few minutes of your time. The good news is, the wonder isn't over. On a message on their site they said they plan to launch a "year of evenings" on Jan. 15. I can't wait.

To learn how to post your favorite websites to our Website of the Day group,

I know that this long list looks scary, but trust me, once you get the hang of it, it'll be a snap the second time around.

  1. First of all, join the Website of the Day group.
  2. Click the pink "Share" menu on the top left side of the page.
  3. Choose "Blog" and “Regular Post.”
  4. Give your story a “Title.”
  5. Fill in the “Body” with a link to your favorite website and the reasons why you love it.
  6. Click “Next."
  7. Choose the audience for your story to “Website of the Day” in the drop-down menu
  8. Add keyword(s) (for example mine for this photo was "Website of the Day").
  9. Change channel to “Technology and Gadgets.”
  10. Fill in tag field with relevant tags.
  11. Click “I’m done” to submit content.

So join the Website of the Day group and share information about all your favorite sites! Yours just might end up on the geeksugar homepage!

Oh, that's pretty awesome. aistea311, here's some advice from a photographer: don't use flash and take photos in areas that are well-lit, and you're already a step ahead of the sheep.
