Website of the Day: Thank You Too

Thank You Too is a thank you e-card service with an old fashioned twist.

You select from a variety of short, but sweet messages like "You are beautiful. Thank you." or "You found me. Thank you." or "I love the way you turn the page. Thank you.", type out a personal message for the back of the card and the creators of the website re-write it by hand and send it off.

The cost for a simple postcard, handwriting service and postage is nearly $4, which last time I checked is actually less expensive than a fancy card.

To learn how to post your favorite websites to our Website of the Day group,

I know that this long list looks scary, but trust me, once you get the hang of it, it'll be a snap the second time around.

  1. First of all, join the Website of the Day group.
  2. Click the pink "Share" menu on the top left side of the page.
  3. Choose "Blog" and “Regular Post.”
  4. Give your story a “Title.”
  5. Fill in the “Body” with a link to your favorite website and the reasons why you love it.
  6. Click “Next."
  7. Choose the audience for your story to “Website of the Day” in the drop-down menu
  8. Add keyword(s) (for example mine for this photo was "Website of the Day").
  9. Change channel to “Technology and Gadgets.”
  10. Fill in tag field with relevant tags.
  11. Click “I’m done” to submit content.

So join the Website of the Day group and share information about all your favorite sites! Yours just might end up on the geeksugar homepage!

You found out about us, Thank You! Thanks a lot for mentioning our website. @Emmiekitten: Yes, you're right, we handwrite the message ourselves and send it. We found this to be an interesting combination of a digital service and a physical product. And the Thank You project is also about thanking people anonymously. Hugo (

Have I misunderstood the concept? You send them a message and some money, the handwrite the message and send it? Surely it would be more heartfelt and personal to send the card yourself?
