Get subway maps right on your iPhone, iPod or iPod Nano with iSubwayMaps, a free application for OS X where you can download subway maps from over 24 cities around the globe. To learn how to post your favorite sites to the Website of the Day group, just

I know that this long list looks scary, but trust me, once you get the hang of it, it'll be a snap the second time around.

  1. First of all, join the Website of the Day group
  2. Click "Create and Share!" on the left hand side
  3. Choose "Blog"
  4. Give your photo a Title
  5. Leave the category as "general"
  6. Change the channel to "technology and gadgets"
  7. Add keyword(s) (for example mine for this photo was "Website of the Day")
  8. Click on the "Add Image" link below the "body" box
  9. A popup window will happen - click on "Browse" to find your image on your computer
  10. Once you have the image chosen, click "Submit"
  11. The popup will show you your image, choose size: "normal" - if you want, you can give it a title (which will show up as a caption)
  12. Click "Insert" and the popup will go away
  13. Your "body" box will now have some text in it. Leave it as is. If you want to add some text before the picture telling me why you love the website, do it before the code that has appeared.
  14. Click Submit

So join the Website of the Day group and share information about all of your favorite sites! Yours just might end up on the geeksugar homepage!

I never get on subways, but I guess this could be useful to someone who does, or a new traveler to the big city.

Pirate Mermaid: The iPod Photo was a version of the iPod that came out after Apple first released the upgraded click-wheel models a few years ago. I think it was the first iPod to have a color screen and photo-storing capabilities, but then when Apple made it so that ALL iPods could do that, they dropped the word "photo" from the name.

I'm sure that's helpful for a lot of people, but we don't have subways in Houston. What about Metrorail maps? Do they have a site for that?
