Where Do You Go Creates a Heat Map of Foursquare Check-Ins

Avid Foursquare Users, Create a Heat Map of Your Check-Ins

Foursquare is still a polarizing experience — most people who use it regularly seem to love it, but those who don't understand the service or have no interest can't imagine why elective location-sharing has become such a huge trend. I'm a part of the former; I love using Foursquare to locate friends around the city. In fact, when the service experienced a record 11 hours of downtime earlier this week, I did feel a tiny pang of loneliness at not being able to locate anyone.

Now a new site creates a pretty visual image of your most frequently checked-into locations and displays it as a heat map overlay on your city. Find out where to point your browser after the jump.

Where Do You Go uses your Foursquare check-in data to display your most frequently checked-into locations. Just sign in using Foursquare to create your map — you can even change the color scheme of the map to your preference.
