Woman on a Cell Phone in 1928: Is Time Travel Possible?

Cell Phones in 1928: Is Time Travel Really Possible?

By now you've probably seen the video of filmmaker George Clark dissecting a piece of footage from a Charlie Chaplain movie, in which it looks like a woman is talking on a cell phone . . . in 1928. Although there are many possible explanations which range from amplifying her hearing to adjusting her hat, curious folks are left wondering: is time travel really possible?

According to my favorite time travel flick of all, Back to the Future, of course! But in the real world, time travel could move from fictional films to real life with the right tools. Check out a clip from the Back to the Future 25th Anniversary trilogy extra, "The Physics of Time Travel," as Physicist Dr. Michio Kaku breaks down the truth behind moving forward and backward in time when you read more.

OK folks the time for truth is here, it was me! Yes I know some of you will be sceptical but time travel has been around for ages. In the photo I had to wear a disguise and so mugged an old woman for her clothes hence the female look. The phone in question is an LG GD880 and it stayed powered up for the duration of my visit; I still have Charlies Autograph to prove I was there, oh! and the clothes I robbed; wear them now and again when I venture back!

Don't you think that if someone was smart enough to invent TIME TRAVEL, they'd be smart enough to figure out how to communicate 'back to the future' once they got there? And also, isn't it supposed that Charlie Chaplain secretly worked for the CIA? They are up to all sorts of shifty things, aren't they? And one more thing... a commenter on the youtube video had a good point. This ( thing is the same size, shape and colour as the thing the "woman" is carrying. I think the only weirdness going on here that the guy actually got right is that the woman is actually a man dressed in drag.

I liked when he said that is can not be a radio to her ear because it is 1928-so it can not be a radio because it is 1928, but it could be a mobile phone in 1928.

I read that article yesterday. I'm neither a believer or a skeptic (frankly it freaks me out to think of these things) but they did bring up a good point; so who is their carrier? how did they get service when there were no services back then?
