If you've ever wanted to wear an invisibility cloak like Harry Potter, this news will excite you. A four-minute clip from YouTube user Life Noggin reveals the magic (aka science) behind what it would take for an invisibility cloak to become a reality.

Scientists have already discovered a way to make smaller three-dimensional objects seemingly disappear using a cloak made out of metamaterial. The thin material is able to distort the way light bounces off of it when wrapped around objects. Depending on the wavelengths, scientists could use the cloak to make tiny objects blend into the background or even appear to be something completely different.
