According to a new report by Apple Insider, tablet fans can expect the next generation iPad to come with a few minor tweaks.
Although the current iPad's sales numbers are huge (and growing), it's Apple's forte to slightly improve and tweak future generations of its products. Although we don't have any definitive answers on whether or not the iPad 2 will come with a pair of cameras (one forward-facing, one rear-facing), we can look for the following changes when it is rumored to hit the scene this Spring. Check 'em out after the break.
According to the source, the iPad will be only 3mm smaller than the first generation, and will come with an LCD screen.
The source also points out that the new iPad will have a flat back, which will theoretically make the next iPad look more like the latest iPhone 4 model — flat with rounded edges.
The iPad 2 is said to come with a "large wide-ranged speaker unit covered with metal mesh," which would indicate better sound for viewing movies, TV shows, and listening to music.
