Couple Takes Epic Kissing Photos Around the World

It all started in March 2010, when a friend of Kendrick Brinson [1] and David Walter Banks [2] snapped a cute photo of the now-married photographers of Brinson + Banks [3] at Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada. In the picture, David is holding Kendrick midkiss as she kicks up her legs in the air — literally getting swept off her feet. They loved the photo so much they decided to re-create it a couple months later in Lebanon, KS, in front of a field of vibrant green wheat, and thus began a photo series of epic proportions. The pose even has a hashtag on Instagram, #BrinsonBanksing, that couples around the globe have taken part in.

Kendrick and David have now documented milestones in their life — like their eighth wedding anniversary and their move from Atlanta to Los Angeles — as well as their international travels to everywhere from Puerto Rico to Colorado with their creative photos (which they often take using a self-timer). And for the husband-wife photography team, it's more than just a silly pose. The project has had a deeper effect. David tells us:

"For us, our relationship and photography is inescapably intertwined. When your passions in life blend with your work, and your work blends with the love of your life, it's hard to see boundaries. That said, we end up with a lot of photos of each other alone and documentation of our travels without ever capturing the two of us together in the same photo. This pose has been a way to remind ourselves that our own family album is just as important as our career."
