Historically, the Critics' Choice Awards has been an event where stars have shone their elegant beauty looks and style (along with the film prowess they've come together to honor). Some of this year's prettiest and most elevated looks were actually created using makeup and hair care found in the aisles of your favorite drugstores.
Ahead, check out the affordable beauty products that were dabbed, brushed, and applied onto your favorite celebrities.
Issa Rae's complexion was a mix of two shades of CoverGirl Full Spectrum Matte Ambition All Day Shine Free Foundation ($12): Deep Cool 1 and Deep Neutral 1 (pictured here is Deep Cool 1).
The shimmering green shade in CoverGirl Full Spectrum So Saturated Eight Shade Eyeshadow Palette in Zodiac ($14) was heavily applied to the center of Rae's lids to bring attention to her eyes, according to her makeup artist for the evening, Joanna Simkin.
Hairstylist Laini Reeves combed TreSemmé Thermal Creations Styling Aid Blow Dry Balm ($5) from the root to ends of Emily Blunt's hair before it was blowdried smooth.
Blunt's hair was then curled using the TreSemmé Thermal Creations 1" Curling Iron ($17). Reeves made sure to keep the waves "below the nape of [Blunt's] neck."
TreSemmé Tres Two Extra Hold Aerosol Hairspray ($3) was then used to finish Blunt's look and keep her curls intact.
Makeup artist Lisa Aharon used Revlon PhotoReady Candid Natural Finish Anti-Pollution Foundation ($11) on Rachel Brosnahan's complexion. Brosnahan's shade was Porcelain.
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Bare Affair ($6) was the pink nude creamy lipstick that was swept across Brosnahan's lips.
Revlon Colorstay Creme Eyeshadow in Merlot ($7) was used as the base of Brosnahan's eye look before Aharan layered the glittery, light purple shade of Revlon Colorstay Looks Book Palette in Insider ($10) above it.
Dry shampoo was hair stylist Clariss Rubenstein's the secret to getting Gemma Chan's textured braid. Rubenstein first used Dove Care Between Washes Dry Shampoo Volume and Fullness ($6) at the roots and the crown of Chan's hair.
Rubenstein then used Dove Care Between Washes Invisible Dry Shampoo ($5) all over Chan's hair, because this dry shampoo doesn't leave a white residue that could be picked up by red carpet cameras.
KISS Lash Couture Faux Extensions Collection ($6) gave Nicole Kidman lengthy, fluttering lashes — and they only cost $6.
Garnier Fructis Style Smooth Blow Dry Sleek Anti Frizz Cream ($3) was used on the ends of Mandy Moore's hair to restore moisture after her hair was blow-dried and before it was styled further with a flat iron.
Moore's straightened hair was locked in with light spritzes of Garnier Fructis Style Sleek & Shine Hairspray ($4).
