Yes, You Can Wear Bronzer in the Winter — Here's How!

By now, any subtle color you may have obtained from the warmer-weathered months has slowly diminished into oblivion. Luckily, bronzers enable us all to fake a healthy glow. The problem, however, is that these types of products can look a little fake on the skin come January. So we asked celebrity makeup artist and Avon global creative color director Jillian Dempsey if bronzers are a "do" or a "don't" for cool-weathered months. See what she had to say when you read more.
- Hit the matte: "I would stay away from anything that's got a lot of shimmer," says Jillian, adding, "I think that bronzy shimmer in the Winter doesn't look right." Instead, Jillian advises using a matte bronzer for a bit of contouring.
- Hit the fan: If contouring's not your thing, you can also use a fan brush to dust the matte bronzer all over your face. This is particularly helpful if you're feeling really pale and want to look a touch warmer overall.
- Top it off: Whether you contour or fan the bronzer across your face, top off with a bit of blush on the cheeks for a pretty glow.
