This New Year's Eve, go all out with your makeup and try this dark and moody beauty look from Kat Von D Beauty. We asked Kat Von D Beauty makeup artist Steffanie Strazzere to show us how to coordinate the new Lolita Eye Shadow Palette ($39) with our over-the-top sparkly ensembles this year.
The dramatic makeup is surprisingly easy to achieve, so keep reading to see how you can get this eye shadow look in five easy steps.
Kat Von D Lolita Eye Shadow Palette
For the look, Strazzere used the Kat Von D Lolita Eye Shadow Palette ($39).
Step 1: Base Color
First, Strazzere coated the entire lid with the shade Hermosura, a bubblegum pink hue.
Step 2: The Crease
Next, she packed a darker red hue, like Con Amor, in the crease to add definition.
Step 3: Darken It Up
Strazzere then turned up the drama with the darker hue Eterno on the outer corners before dragging it across the lower lash line.
Step 4: Add Some Sparkle
To make this look more festive, she used her fingers to add some gold glitter from the Kat Von D Current Crush: Glitter Gel ($20).
Step 5: Brush It Out
To finish up the look, she brushed out the brows with a spoolie, like the Sephora Pro Brow Brush #20 ($20).
