The beauty look at Kate Spade Fall 2014 was inspired by travels to the Eastern Hemisphere, meaning the hair was superhigh and the skin was glowing. "The clothes have a versatility, and we wanted the makeup to translate from work to night. I think luminosity is something we can all relate to," said lead makeup artist Lyne Desnoyers with MAC Cosmetics.
The ponytail height varied depending on each model's headwear (hats were a predominant theme at the presentation). Hairstylist Tommy Buckett used Garnier Disorder Power Gel and a Mason Pearson brush to slick back hair, and both high and low ponytails were wrapped with a leather strip.
Finally, Deborah Lippmann loved the nail look for Kate Spade New York so much, she did it in herself! The long almond-shaped nails were topped with her Naked polish for a neutral finish.
