Maisie Williams Could Poke an Eye Out With Her Inky-Black Bow Hairstyle at the 2021 Met Gala

The 2021 Met Gala attendees may want to slip on a few pairs of safety goggles, because Maisie Williams arrived in a look so sharp, Maleficent's horns wouldn't stand a chance. On Monday, the former Game of Thrones star hit the red carpet at the Met Gala in New York, where the theme was "In America: A Lexicon of Fashion." Dressed like a cross between Bellatrix Lestrange and Anjelica Huston in The Witches, Williams set her outfit apart with a massive bow on her head made out of inky-black hair.

To the left, Williams's hair was styled like the loop of a black silk ribbon. To the right, her hair took on a sharper look and ruffled out into a horn-like shape that would give any dark fairy style envy. In an interview on the red carpet, Williams explained that the design took her hairstylist days to style and nearly two hours to apply to her head — not surprising, considering how spooktacular she looked. Paired with her soft-green eyeshadow, wine-stained lips, and poison-green manicure, the calculated chaos of her entire look has us ready to turn Halloween into our own personal runway.

See her look from every angle ahead.
