While Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog may not seem like the usual suspects for Spring nail art inspiration, you may want to rethink that notion. OPI has released a set of limited-edition nail lacquers to coincide with our favorite childhood characters' latest big-screen appearance, Muppets Most Wanted. Best of all? The polish company's pros even created a set of matching nail art designs that are anything but cheesy, and we're showing you how to pull off four of them. Just wait till you see what Kermit's iconic collar looks like on your nails . . .
Stick a hole punch protector at the base of a clean, prepped nail.
Polish on two coats of OPI's I Love Applause ($9), leaving the cuticle bare.
Using OPI's Miss Piggy's Big Number ($9), make an arc of five tiny dots about midway up your nail. You can use a nail art brush or a toothpick for this.
With the same nail polish and a thin nail art brush, draw two lines up from your sticker guide to each dot, creating five triangular points.
Remove your sticker guide carefully. Tip: gently pull from one side of your nail to the other; never pull directly up.
Start with a dry I Love Applause ($9) manicure.
Pour out a bit of OPI's Gaining Mole-mentum ($9) onto a paper plate or piece of tinfoil, then pick up the glitter flecks with a toothpick.
Start placing the glitter flecks on your nail in a heart shape. Tip: use the center line of the nail as a guide for the center of the heart.
Start with a dry OPI's Chillin' Like a Villain ($9) manicure.
Outline circles using Kermit Me to Speak ($9) and a thin nail art brush.
Outline more circles to create an animal-print pattern.
Start with a dry Chillin' Like a Villain ($9) manicure.
Layer on OPI's Let's Do Anything We Want ($9) glitter. Tip: dab on glitter to ensure even coverage.
With a dotting tool, make two dots of Miss Piggy's Big Number ($9) at the tip of your nail.
Using a thin nail art brush, continue to outline the two sides of a mustache.
