What better products to grace Nicki Minaj's skin for her just-released Queen album cover than Pat McGrath's? The rapper is known for going there in her lyrics, performances, and music videos, and the makeup artist has proclaimed herself "Mother" to all who apply her products. Both are self-made moguls in their respective fields, so it would make sense that they would unite forces. The union came courtesy of makeup artist Sheika Daley.
But it didn't come cheap — we crunched the numbers, and Daley used $401 worth of Pat McGrath products on Minaj's cover. Keep reading to see them all (but maybe hide your wallet first).
Daley began by using the Depth and Ultimate Taupe shades from the Mothership I: Subliminal Eye Palette ($125) along Minaj's crease. She then defined the outer corner of her client's eyes with the Xtreme Black pigment before blending everything outward into a wing shape. As a finishing touch, she used her fingers to pat Blitz Blue onto Minaj's lids.
This Perma Precision Liquid Eyeliner ($28) then went across Minaj's lash line. Daley extended it into a wing.
Daley then layered two shades (Xtreme Black and Blk Coffee) of the PermaGel Ultra Glide Eye Pencil ($25) over Minaj's waterline.
Minaj's lips were lined with PermaGel Ultra Glid Lip Pencil in Ground Control ($25).
She patted this Skin Fetish Highlighter + Balm Duo in Gold ($48) over the high points of Minaj's face.
On top of the highlighter and balm, Daley used a Buffer 003 Brush ($25) to apply the sold-out Skin Fetish in Fine Gold 003 for an extra shine.
