This Heartwarming Handmaid's Tale Reunion at the Emmys Will Make You Do a Double Take

NBC

It's always a little odd and refreshing to see the Handmaid's Tale cast outside of Gilead. At the 2018 Emmys, Ann Dowd, Alexis Bledel, and Yvonne Strahovski — who portray Aunt Lydia, Emily, and Serena, respectively — shared a tender moment that made us do a double take. During the category for outstanding supporting actress in a drama series, the camera cut to the three actresses huddled together, with Alexis sitting on Ann's lap!

Though they didn't win in their categories, the three were all nominated for their acting in the second season. At the Creative Arts Emmy Awards earlier in the month, Samira Wiley, who portrays Moira, did receive an Emmy for her involvement as a guest actress.
