Everyone in Australia Is Sweating Profusely While You Freeze

While parts of the world have been struggling through the polar vortex, Australians are living the beach life with a wild heat wave that's hit the country. Scorching temperatures of up to 113 degrees Fahrenheit are prompting people in Melbourne and Adelaide to flock to the beaches, and one player fainted at the Australian Open on Tuesday. If you're bundled up and braving frigid temperatures up in the Northern Hemisphere, then stay warm with a look at what's happening down under!

Last week, parts of America looked like this.

And commuters wore ski goggles to walk to work.

Meanwhile, in the Southern Hemisphere, Australia's feeling feverish.

People have to sit in the water to survive the heat.

They're standing in front of mister fans to persevere.

And hopping on water slides for some quick relief.

And chugging water like it's their job.

Australians everywhere are jumping into the ocean.

They're diving headfirst.

So. Much. Jumping.

There's literally not a cloud in the sky.

So people are walking through fountains to keep cool.

Just, you know, living the January dream.

Moral of the story: book your Australia flights now.

And prepare to go face-first into a fountain.
