Hours after Sebastian Lletget issued a public apology to his fiancée, Becky G, following allegations of cheating, she attended the iHeartRadio Music Awards in Los Angeles, solo. Becky G — who won latin pop/reggaeton song of the year — wore an all-black lace dress for the night out.

In the emotional and lengthy Instagram note from earlier in the day on March 27, the FC Dallas soccer player opened up about "a moment I regret deeply." The 30-year-old Lletget wrote, "A 10 minute lapse in judgment resulted in an extortion plot. Since this person did not get what they wanted it has now become a public social media spectacle filled with more lies than any truth and false posts aimed at the love of my life, the one person who I should never take for granted or put at risk."

Lletget claimed he has never met the "anonymous internet stalker" behind the widely circulated video of his alleged cheating and said the online speculation has served as a wake-up call for him. "I can't keep running from demons," said the athlete. "I know that any actions made that put us here should have never happened to begin with. Pushing right up to the very boundaries of lines that should never be crossed only hurts me and the people I love most. This past week of chaos & pain has forced me to face the consequences of my actions, my fears & my lapses from the past."

"Instead of honoring that love every day, I have done the opposite, hurting you, and disrespecting the one person I love more than anything."

Becky G and Lletget began dating in 2016 and announced their engagement in December 2022. Lletget told the singer, 26, that she has been "the light in my life, my strength, who has always shown me unconditional love." Added the athlete, "Instead of honoring that love every day, I have done the opposite, hurting you, and disrespecting the one person I love more than anything. I am so sorry and know I have to do whatever it takes to earn back the trust and love you deserve." He noted that throughout their seven-year relationship, his "personal & professional growth" was possible with Becky G's love and support.

He also acknowledged what he called "deeply rooted anger and mental health issues" that are leading him to commit to "a mental wellness program to work on the parts of me that deeply need healing."

Becky G has not publicly responded to the allegations or Lletget's message, and he did not specifically elaborate on his claim that he's being extorted.
