Acceptance speeches at award shows can go so many different ways. If you're like Matthew McConaughey, you've already figured out the perfect formula. Then there are the speeches that are filled with tears and gratitude and that make you smile and cry along with the bewildered recipient. "And number five be . . . number five . . . have knack . . . have a knack for memorizing."
This, after requesting a spotlight and dramatic music.
