Celebrities Read Texts From Their Moms on Jimmy Kimmel, and All I Can Say Is "Same"

If you thought you were the only one to ever get a text from your mom that made absolutely no sense, think again. On Thursday, as part of a Mother's Day tribute on Jimmy Kimmel Live, various celebrities read real texts they've received from their moms, and it went just about as well as you would think.

Emily Blunt and Elle Fanning's moms texts were novel-length while Gwyneth Paltrow's mom, Blythe Danner, was guilty of the multitext answer-her-own-question response. Meanwhile, Ben Schwartz's mom responded to a family group chat versus talking to her son directly and Will Arnett's mom over-explained how technology works ("I forgot that you could utilize the pause button . . . "). Other celebrities included were Lakeith Stanfield, January Jones, Aidy Bryant, Don Lemon, and Renée Zellweger. Watch the full clip above for a laugh and a reminder that your own mom might be sending you a text soon.
