We all know there are plenty of celebrity kids who bear striking resemblance to their parents and actual sets of twins in Hollywood, but some of the best star "twins" aren't related at all. Now and then, a pair of unrelated superstars look so much alike that you'd be forgiven for confusing them. If you've ever done a double take while looking at Bella Hadid and Jennifer Lawrence, Zac Efron and Kevin Zegers, or Nina Dobrev and Victoria Justice, we've got the ultimate treat for you ahead.

Few stars look more uncannily alike than Margot Robbie and Emma Mackey, who both starred in 2023's "Barbie." As it turns out, their resemblance is part of why Mackey was cast at all. "I've been getting told for years that I look like the girl from 'Sex Education,' who is Emma Mackey," Robbie told Buzzfeed in a July 9 interview. "She plays one of the Barbies in the movie pretty much because Greta and I thought it would be funny," she continued. "We were gonna do this whole joke about us looking similar."

In costume, however, the duo didn't end up looking as much alike as Robbie and Gerwig thought they would, so no jokes about their resemblance made it into the film. "Once we got all dressed up as our Barbies, we were kind of like, 'We don't actually look that similar,'" Robbie added. "Like, when she's got her brown hair and I've got my blonde hair, we don't look that similar, so we didn't put that joke in the movie." Still, Robbie noted that fans frequently mistake her for Mackey in the real world. She said, "When people come up and say, 'I loved you in 'Sex Education,'' I just say, 'Thank you. Thank you so much.'"

The other half of "Barbenheimer" — "Oppenheimer" — is anchored by Cillian Murphy, who also has a major celebrity look-alike: Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Tyler Glasnow. They look so much alike that even the Rays's Twitter account joked about it, posting a photo of Glasnow and writing, "[One] Ticket for Oppenheimer, please."

Sometimes celebrity doppelgängers can lead to wild rumors. For a while, a theory that Jeremy Allen White and his lookalike, Gene Wilder, were related floated around the internet, though there's no evidence to substantiate that claim. However, the pair do look remarkably alike, and White even recognized some of the jokes about their resemblance in a 2022 interview with InStyle. "Yeah, I've been made aware of some of the stuff out there. There's one in particular: everyone's decided I, uh, look a lot like Gene Wilder, which I agree," he said. "But I guess someone called me 'Ketamine Gene Wilder.' Or called Carmy 'Ketamine Gene Wilder,' which I thought was weird and funny."

Of course, these duos are far from the only celebrity doppelgängers out there in the world. Keep scrolling to see some of the most mind-bogglingly, similar-looking stars who could totally pass as siblings.
