George and Amal Clooney Are All Smiles While Meeting Pope Francis in Rome

George and Amal Clooney jetted off to Italy earlier this week to enjoy the long Memorial Day weekend, and in addition to relaxing, they also made an important appearance. On Sunday, the couple met Pope Francis at a seminar with the Scholas Occurrentes, an educational organization founded by the pope, at the Vatican in Rome. After George and Amal shook hands with the leader of the Catholic Church, they took their seats inside, where they held hands and chatted with fellow attendee Salma Hayek, her husband, Francois-Henri Pinault, and their daughter, Valentina.
