The genetic disease — which affects the body's connective tissue, including the heart, eyes, and joints — would make playing professional sports potentially life-threatening for the 20-year-old. Despite the fact that Isaiah will not be able to continue to pursue his promising basketball career, the league's commissioner granted the Baylor University sophomore an honorary first-round pick at last night's draft ceremony.
