John Mayer was hospitalized for an emergency appendectomy in New Orleans on Tuesday morning. Dead & Company, the band with whom John has been touring, revealed the news in a statement on Twitter, writing, "Early this morning, Tuesday, December 5th, John Mayer was admitted into the hospital for emergency appendectomy forcing the Dead & Company December 5th concert in New Orleans to be postponed." No other details have been released at the time.
