Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise stepped back into the sunlight on New Year's Day! The mother and daughter soaked up the sun in Miami, FL, where Katie showed off her bikini body by the pool. Sporting a patterned bikini top and cutoff denim shorts, Katie took in the fresh air with her daughter just a couple days after the duo shared a pool date. Katie even shared a sweet picture of her and Suri to celebrate the new year. Earlier in the week, she donned a hot-pink swimsuit to lay out while Suri took a dip in her Hello Kitty polka-dot bikini. The look-alike pair is enjoying a relaxing end to the year following a busy couple of months. Earlier in December, Katie got into the holiday spirit with an appearance at Z100 Jingle Ball in NYC, hitting the stage to introduce Selena Gomez. During the Fall, the actress also spent time in Cape Town, South Africa, to work on the upcoming film adaptation of The Giver. Katie will play the mother of the character Jonas, opposite Alexander Skarsgard, who plays his dad, and the movie also stars Jeff Bridges, Taylor Swift, and Meryl Streep.
