"Even in a year without a tour or album release, JAY-Z mints millions from his Armand de Brignac champagne and D'Usse cognac," the outlet reported. "JAY-Z's assets range from entertainment company Roc Nation to a fine art collection including works by Jean-Michel Basquiat."

In 2019, JAY-Z became the first hip-hop artist to ever become a billionaire. In addition to his music ventures, he amassed his billions through investments in companies like Uber, and his Marcy Venture Partners — named after the housing project in Brooklyn where he lived as a child — raised $85 million that year.
