An Amy Winehouse Biopic Is Happening, and Amy Has Already Been Cast

The recent success of the Amy Winehouse documentary Amy seems to have inspired more filmmaking around the already-legendary chanteuse. An Amy Winehouse biopic is in the works, and Swedish actress Noomi Rapace is in talks to play Winehouse herself. Irish filmmaker Kirsten Sheridan will write and direct the biopic, which will be called Amy Winehouse. Winehouse died in 2011 at the age of 27. Stay tuned for more details on the movie.
