5 Things We Know About Bloodline Season 2

Netflix

Bloodline may not get the same attention that Orange Is the New Black or House of Cards does, but as anyone who watches knows, it's just as great. The dark and twisted series about the Florida-dwelling Rayburn family is returning on Friday, and we finally have an exact premiere date. If you haven't watched the first season, it's time to dive in. If you have, check out all the details we have about season two so far and read our interview with Linda Cardellini and Sissy Spacek!

The Returning Cast

Kyle Chandler, Linda Cardellini, Sissy Spacek, Norbert Leo Butz, and Ben Mendelsohn will all return. Yes, even though Mendelsohn's character is — spoiler alert — dead. From the looks of the trailer, he'll appear as a hallucination.

The New Cast

John Leguizamo and Andrea Riseborough (Birdman) have joined the cast.

The Episode Count

While the first season consists of 13 episodes, season two will only be 10.

The Plot

Here's the official synposis from Netflix: "Season two begins with the Rayburn family struggling to conceal their unthinkable crime. Mysterious strangers from Danny’s past arrive with a dangerous agenda. Law enforcement is closing in on the truth behind Danny’s murder. And the tight-knit family’s once harmonious relationship is poisoned by paranoia and mistrust as it slowly begins to unravel. Lies mount. Alliances are betrayed. Relationship are destroyed. With their backs against the wall, good people may have to do some very bad things . . . "

The Premiere Date

Bloodline's second season will be available on Netflix on Friday, May 27.
