Fifty Shades of Grey is out now, and before you see the adaptation of E L James's sexy zeitgeist of a novel, we're betting you have a few questions about the film before you commit to buying a ticket. We've got answers to those questions, so you can make informed decisions about the buzzy bondage-fest starring Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson.
The movie got an R rating from the MPAA, which memorably noted the film's "strong sexual content including dialogue, some unusual behavior and graphic nudity, and for language."
Sorry, but Dornan dashed your hopes of seeing his "todger" in the film, mentioning that the film's contracts prevented it. You can't be surprised, though; sometimes it only takes one todger for an NC-17.
One-fifth. That's the very unscientific report from The Sunday Times. There are reportedly 20 minutes of sex scenes filling up the 125-minute running time (also an answer to that question you may have had).
Come on now. Not saying you don't have a "cool mom," but just don't even go there. Just don't. Let her see it with her mom friends who all read the book.
Not unless you want the date to end in a very specific way. Spare your boyfriends, husbands, and Tinder dates, and take your girlfriends instead.
I mean, it depends on your definition of "good." While one Fifty Shades of Grey producer claimed that Dornan is doing Oscar-worthy work, our main hope is that the film's dialogue is an improvement on the book's. One thing we know for sure? The soundtrack is excellent.
