Disney Released the Trailer For Hamilton, and We're Officially Booked For Fourth of July Weekend

Disney's first official trailer for Hamilton will instantly transport you to the front row of the iconic theatre production. The multi-award-winning musical, written and composed by Lin-Manuel Miranda, debuts with its original Broadway cast on July 3, exclusively on Disney+.

Hamilton was originally planned for release in theaters on Oct. 15, 2021, but due to the coronavirus (COVID-19), Disney decided to give fans an early summer treat — by premiering the anticipated stage musical on July 3, on Disney+. Hamilton explores the story of one of America's founding fathers, Alexander Hamilton, which was inspired by a 2004 biography by historian Ron Chernow. The play is revolutionary in every sense of the word, as it reimagines American history through a modern lens, with non-white actors being cast as historical figures, and the rap and hip hop genre shaping the musical scores of the production.
