Will Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Be a Movie? Here's What J.K. Rowling Says

J.K. Rowling is constantly bombarded with question about her work (Will there be more Harry Potter books? What can you tell us about the next Fantastic Beasts movie?), but she deemed it necessary to answer one very important question on Friday: will Harry Potter and the Cursed Child be adapted into a film? Rumors that the Broadway-bound play would become a movie trilogy surfaced this week and while the intel is questionable at best — the entire basis for the rumor is "insider knowledge" from theme-park historian Jim Hill, which he shared on an unofficial Universal Studios podcast — it took on a life of its own when fans got ahold of it. Rowling addressed the stories in a Tweet:

There you go, if Cursed Child is becoming a movie, the queen herself hasn't heard about it.
