She's taking the trophy, dumbass. "The White Lotus" star Jennifer Coolidge just notched another honor after a landmark few years, taking home the 2023 comedic genius award during the MTV Movie & TV Awards on May 7.

Coolidge, 61, accepted the award in a prerecorded video, as the show was not held live due to the Writers Guild of America strike. During her short speech, she threw her support behind those striking, saying, "I stand here before you tonight side by side with my sisters and brothers in the WGA."

"Thank you, thank you MTV for honoring me with this incredible comedic genius award," Coolidge said, noting that it "thrilled" her and was "ironic" that the trophy is shaped like popcorn, because the snack is her "favorite food."

Coolidge danced with her trophy to end the acceptance video, which was preceded by footage from some of her most iconic roles.

According to MTV, the comedic genius award is meant to honor "actors who have made incomparable contributions to the world of comedy, providing a major influence through their work and transforming the genre at large." Previous winners have included Melissa McCarthy, Will Ferrell, Kevin Hart, and Jack Black.

Coolidge's turn as Tanya McQuoid on HBO's "The White Lotus" has skyrocketed her back to fame and earned her both an Emmy and a Golden Globe Award.
