All the Gems From The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 3 Soundtrack

Amazon

Season three of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is by far the show's most musical season yet. While Midge is on tour with the soulful Shy Baldwin (played by Leroy McClain), viewers are treated to some amazing original tracks that could easily become hit singles in their own right. And keeping with the upbeat and swinging tone of the show, the soundtrack also features classic '50s and '60s songs, as well as a few foot-tapping Broadway numbers.

Shy's performances this season feel like a character of their own, and each one introduces us to a fresh new track, stylized perfectly for the era by composer Curtis Moore and lyricist Tom Mizer. All of Shy's songs — including "One Less Angel" and "A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square" — were vocalized by the talented Broadway singer Darius de Haas. The icing on the cake is a special performance by This is Us star Sterling K. Brown, who sings a cover of Louis Jordan's "Is You or Is You Ain't My Baby?" as Shy's manager, Reggie.

Aside from the original songs, the soundtrack for season three also includes a number of popular hits you've probably heard before, like "Little White Lies" by Ella Fitzgerald, "Feeling Good" by Nina Simone, and "Beyond the Sea" by Bobby Darin. You'll also hear a few famous musical numbers, including "So Long, Farewell" from The Sound of Music and "Good Morning" from Singin' in the Rain.

But what makes this season's soundtrack stand out from the previous ones is its diversity. "Loco Amor" by Johnny Tedesco, which is set in a Miami nightclub with mesmerizing Latin dancers, perfectly captures the chemistry between Lenny Bruce and Midge. At Joel's Chinatown nightclub, the song "Tiao Yi Ge Man Bo" by Chang Loo adds ambience as Midge meets his new girlfriend Mei Lin for the first time.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season three soundtrack — which will feature both the original tracks and the classic hit singles — will be available on Dec. 13 on Amazon. We're sure you can't wait to get your hands on it, so here's a sampling of the terrific music this season has to offer!
