Meet Saturday Night Live's New Weekend Update Anchor, Michael Che

Move over, Colin Jost, there's a new Weekend Update anchor in town. Comedian Michael Che is joining Saturday Night Live's news desk, replacing Cecily Strong. Strong will stay on as a repertory player, she'll just be featured in more sketches than she would if she were still on Weekend Update. Che comes to SNL from The Daily Show, where he had been a correspondent for seven episodes. He's been a writer at SNL already for the past year, and he's a well-known comedian. He's already been showcased on Late Show With David Letterman, Money From Strangers, and Late Night With Seth Meyers. Can't wait to see how he does on the season premiere, which will be hosted by Chris Pratt!
