Don't Be Shy: Just Turn SNL's Lesbian Period Drama Into a Full-Length Film Already

Saturday Night Live has provided the lesbian period drama to obsess over in 2021. The show's April 10th host, Carey Mulligan, joined cast members Kate McKinnon and Heidi Gardner to reimagine the quintessential queer films that come around about once a year.

Poking fun at movies like Portrait of a Lady on Fire, The Favourite, and Ammonite, the skit hilariously features Academy Award-winning "Glance Choreography" and best supporting actress nominee, "The Wind." The anticipation builds as the drama's leads graze fingers and wash carrots, before diving into the type of sex scene only a straight man would think up. Watch the will-they-won't-they trailer of the season in the clip above, and let the Oscar petitioning begin.
