11 Parenting Fears Every Parent Has

We'd be lying if said we never worried about dropping our baby on his head or losing him in a crowded place. Whether you're a mom-to-be or a 10-year vet, each one of us has our set of parenting fears, some of which never go away. And while some are completely justified, others are merely the result of reading too many medical websites and watching too many crime shows. Here, we own up to things that send shivers down our motherly spines. What's your biggest parenting fear?

You'll drop them.

Babies are built to survive their share of tumbles. So if this does happen, they will most likely be OK.

They are sicker than we think.

We blame WebMD for this constant paranoia.

They'll never be potty trained.

It's a messy process, but they master it eventually.

They will be bullied.

Or, worse, be the bully.

You'll never sleep again.

Once they reach double digits, your normal sleep patterns will resume.

We'll lose them.

This is something we wish no parent had to face, but unfortunately, some do.

They will swear . . . a lot.

Sure, the occasional curse word is humorous. But a potty mouth is no laughing matter.

We won't be able to provide for them.

Even when times get tough, you will make it work.

You'll never get your sexy back.

It happens. It just takes a little effort.

We'll turn into our mother.

Of course, that isn't always a bad thing.

They won't love us.

Yes, there will be time when you two fight. They may even say they hate you once in a while. But rest assured, they love you.
