Every little kid thinks that his dad has special powers — Crazy strength! Under-the-bed monster removal! — so why not treat him like the superdad he is with a luncheon inspired by old-school superheroes? Your party is just a few printables away! Dawn of Not Just a Mommy created an inspirational luncheon full of supersnacks and cool decor that all the dads and kids in your life will love. Keep clicking for all the details!
The invitations were part of a printable package from Etsy's Simon Made It.
A chalkboard background set the stage for the party. The buffet table was covered with a tablecloth from Tablevogue.
"What does one serve at a superhero luncheon? Why, hero sandwiches, of course," Dawn says. "Let guests create their own with a fun buffet!"
"Some superheroes, like the Green Lantern, have power rings, so Superdads have onion power rings," Dawn says.
The party had Kryptonite Jell-O as a snack for superdads and their kids.
There was a Wonder Women reference on the table, since moms are super too!
Dessert got the superdad treatment with toppers from Etsy's Simon Made It.
"My favorite part are my Clark Kent drink bottles, you know, since Superman is disguised as a mild-mannered reporter," Dawn says.
"When we went to Emerald City Comicon a few months ago, I scored on vintage comic books and used the pages to create the paper rosettes," Dawn says. "When I say vintage, I mean from the '80s."
"How fun are these little lunch boxes from Michaels?" Dawn says. "I filled them with (giant!) gumballs for an easy party favor."
