Kelly Ripa Says She's a Mom First, Friend Second

After 20 years in the spotlight, Kelly Ripa is immune to hurtful critiques and hateful comments — even when they come from her children. The Live! With Kelly and Michael cohost stopped by the Wendy Williams Show last week and opened up about the tension between her and her 13-year-old daughter, Lola. Like many moms of teens, Ripa is currently on her daughter's "don't-like list" after taking away her phone and computer privileges. But the mother of three says that doesn't bother her one bit.

"I don't think she likes me, but I don't care," Ripa admitted to Williams during last week's show. "I'm like, 'I'm not your friend. I'm your mom.'" Ripa continued, saying it's her job to keep Lola "living in the real world," even if that means being the most hated person in the Ripa-Consuelos household. Front Page
