Gymboree Should Serve Cocktails and Other Parenting Problems

It would be much easier to endure the loud noises and neon lights of a kids' venue if we had a drink in our hand, right? Unfortunately, most play gyms and amusement parks cater to children and not the parents who schlep them there (and, not to mention, pay for everything). But a mom can dream, right? While some of these adult accommodations may be a bit far-fetched, others could be easily obtained with a little effort from venue owners. Here, a few fixtures that would make kids' venues much happier places — at least for adults.

01

An Open Bar

Parents wouldn't mind staying a little longer if they had some libations.

02

Charging Stations

No one should be stuck at Six Flags with a dead cell phone.

03

Healthier Snacks

The last thing our kids need is more sugar.

04

Noise-Canceling Headphones

Silence makes Mickey Mouse a bit more bearable.

05

Masseuses

Because after chasing children around Chuck E. Cheese's all day, a foot rub is required.

06

Hand-Sanitizing Stations

We all know ball pits are breeding grounds for germs.

07

Useful Prizes

Crayons and coloring books would be preferable to whoopee cushions and candy.

08

Built-in Babysitters

Hiring people to keep an eye on kids would be a big help to parents who have to look after multiple children all by themselves.

09

Mom-Friendly Vending Machines

Just in case you leave the extra diapers at home.

10

A Quiet Room

Parents wouldn't be the only ones to benefit from a little peace. Since many children with special needs don't do well with loud noises, this place would be a reprieve for them as well.
