You Can Now Build a Robot That Can Dance and Tell You the Weather Thanks to This Brand-New Lego Set

While I loved growing up making all kinds of buildings, cars, and all-out cities from colorful blocks, Lego Education's latest kit — Spike Prime — will change how you view the signature toy brick forever. In an effort to make STEAM activities and concepts more accessible in the classroom, the Danish toy company has created a hands-on set meant to spark an interest in robotics, coding, and technology in middle schoolers. The colorful blocks — which were handpicked and tested by the Lego team — come with an app that lets teachers and students work together to build and code a friendly robot to do things like propel itself forward, dance, and tell you the weather. Pretty cool, right?

And FYI, parents: although this kit is primarily meant for the classroom, you can still preorder a set for when they hit shelves in August.
