"As longtime Star Wars aficionados ourselves, we were doubly excited when we were asked to plan and design an all-boys party featuring this popular theme," event designer Keren Precel told us. "The challenge was to create a design language that would be cute enough for 6-year-olds, but still feature the Star Wars elements that they all love so much." To see how Keren's team pulled it off (quite successfully, we might add . . . ), keep reading to see all of the thoughtful details and fun activities for the little Luke Skywalkers and Obi-Wan Kenobis.
The tiered cake featured the Star Wars logo with fondant characters.
We're charmed by everything about these miniburgers! Topped with tiny tomatoes and pickles, they got their finishing touch with Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia printables.
There's nothing not to love about an ice cream sundae bar. Guests were encouraged to "Scoop It Up!" with custom graphics of the series' main characters.
The guests were prepped for the "main event" — a visit from Darth Vader, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Luke Skywalker themselves — with the appropriate gear.
Basic bottled water gets an upgrade with cute customized labels.
"The excited kids hung out with the Jedi (including the one who fell to the dark side . . . ), had their pictures taken, and even enjoyed a real Jedi training session!" Keren told us.
An extensive and enticing food setup included plenty of party food favorites and healthy options, too. Kids could swing by and scoop up a slider with a side of broccoli, a crudite cup, or a fry cone . . . but one thing's for certain, no one skipped out on the make-your-own sundae bar!
"Our custom-designed gift bags contained an M&M's light saber, Star Wars stickers, Legos, and a Star Wars book — all wrapped in a gold bow and featuring a Star Wars character," said Keren.
I spy with my little eye . . . a mini Yoda!
The kids were kept well-fed and full, thanks to easy, grab-and-go food options.
The gang was clearly very serious about their Jedi training.
