Karl Lagerfeld Gets Sporty at Chanel Haute Couture

Chanel doesn't follow the rules — it makes them. And for its most out-of-the-box collection, Haute Couture, the label pulled no punches with its Spring 2014 collection in Paris today. It wasn't so much the clothes, though they were pretty and noteworthy, that warranted the most buzz, it was Karl Lagerfeld's sporty accessories.
Not only were there coordinated, often pastel, sneakers (and we're not talking the wedge variety), but also real moments of surprise, coming from elbow pads, kneepads, and fanny packs. And since wherever Karl goes, we follow, prepare to see iridescent leather fanny packs aplenty on all your favorite street style stars.
The show closed with Cara Delevingne, all dressed in white. The bride was escorted by a halo of feathers, an adorable young ring bearer, and what is sure to be the most comfortable and welcomed bridal trend in years: sheer sparkling kicks to match the gown.
