Get a First Look at the New DKNY

IMAXTREE

With Public School designers Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne at the helm of DKNY for a second season, newness was again prevalent. The Fall '16 show featured so much newness, in fact, you might call it rebranding. To that effect, sweatshirts were emblazoned with fresh DKNY logos: "Don't Knock New York," "Designers Know Nothing Yet," and "Dazed Kids New York." They're not looking to knock Donna Karan — they're just shaking things up a bit.

The designers continued the evolution they started in the Spring — a commitment to designing for their peers: women, not girls. While girls might think the statement sweatshirts are for them, the draped silhouettes, exemplary tailoring, and riffs on menswear are for the brand's more grown-up customer.
