Kate Middleton's Mom Just Stole Her Style Spotlight

It's clear Kate Middleton has a passion for fashion. The Duchess of Cambridge is always spotted in colorful coats and elegant — sometimes printed! — gowns, effortlessly pulling off a mix of styles and causing us to daydream about the contents of her closet. And while we'd always assumed getting dressed up was something she genuinely enjoyed (same), we've never stopped to wonder if her great taste was influenced by someone else. Someone older and wiser — someone she calls mom. (Or, mum, if you will.)

While we'd hate to take the spotlight away from Kate, we need to point out how great her mother looked on Sunday, as the Middletons and the British royal family attended a memorial service for those lost in the Gallipoli Campaign. Dressed in a navy look, complete with a hat, furry scarf, and clutch, Carole Middleton really caught our eye as she walked alongside her equally stylish kids Pippa and James Middleton.

But that's not to say Kate didn't shine as well, flawlessly repeating an outfit we've seen her in recently: a purple tweed Michael Kors Collection suit, paired with a black turtleneck, suede heeled Aquatalia boots, and a Lock & Co felt fascinator. Read on to see all the looks in full, as we continue to wonder if it's too late for this family to adopt us.
