If you don't have a Winter getaway planned, you'll be inventing reasons to shop Poppy Delevingne's Solid & Striped swimwear collection. The impossibly cool British model and style setter just debuted a set of peppy, printed bikinis and cutout suits with the help of Solid & Striped's women's designer Morgan Curtis. Like Poppy, the lineup is chic and playful, dotted with whimsical flamingo prints and punctuated with pops of bright pink and blue.
We caught up with the lovely Poppy to pick her brain on designing swimwear for all body types, find out what's in her beach bag, and get the details on styling the three suits in her new collaboration. Scroll through for all that — plus a glimpse of the full collection, available Nov. 14.
"We wanted to do a collection that was vibrant, fun, and kooky, a little how I like to be while I'm on holiday preferably with a piña colada in hand . . . I love swimwear that I can do cartwheels in, run a mile in, sun bake it. Versatility is vital."
"The three different silhouettes we've designed cater to different body shapes, keeping all ladies happy with a variety of coverage options."
"With denim cutoffs and a Panama hat."
"Ibiza with my husband. Or Copa Cabana beach in Brazil with my friends."
"Luma cosmetics illuminator, my iPod, House of Holland cobalt blue shades, Sisley SPF 50."
"Under a little playsuit."
"Tabitha Simmons sandals, a Ralph Lauren men's linen shirt, ripped jeans by Redun, [and] a vintage dress from Reformation."
"Not That Kind of Girl by Lena Dunham."
"With a vintage kimono over the top and Converse."
