Self-Portrait Fall '16 Comes With More Separates, Less Naked Dresses

For a designer who's built a cult following thanks to sheer, floral-embroidered party dresses, you would have expected to see more of them at the Self-Portrait Fall '16 presentation. Instead, Han Chong invited his fans to discover a range of separates, crafted with the same delicate DNA, but built for more than cocktail hour.

To add to dresses, he showed just how much he could do with beautiful lace — a bomber jacket, pants, skirts — juxtaposed with clean nude and powder-blue layers. With so much variety, we can already think of plenty of occasions to wear the collection — places where the naked dress just wouldn't fly.
